Introduction

As a graduate student, non-academic pastimes are crucial for maintaining one's sanity. For me, nail polish/nail art is the perfect answer; it combines my love of pretty things with my love of compliments (haha...), and I get to be creative! The process is relaxing, and then I get to wear beautiful things around for a few days - and change them before I ever get bored!

There are so many fabulous nail polish and nail art blogs out there, and they provide me with so much inspiration and useful information, that I figured it was my turn to give back! I hope that one person can find something useful on this blog, but the joy I get from simply sharing my work will be enough.

Things About Me

I am 23 years old.
I live in Canada.
My favourite polishes tend to be creams.
My favourite brands include OPI (largely for the brush), China Glaze, and Essie.
I don't usually like glitters, as removing them enrages me.

Spot-tacular!

For my first real post, considering the unseasonably warm weather, something springtime-y seemed appropriate.

This design was inspired by ANOTHER Bottle of Polish?!, and the effect was just so lovely, and the payoff so great for a relatively simple technique, that I had to try it out right away.

I used my go-to white base, OPI Alpine Snow, and an assortment of my brightest and prettiest polishes, and went to town with a dotting tool. While time-consuming, this manicure was totally easy to achieve, and the results were certainly eye-catching.
