Pre-May Flowers

So "spring" seems to be an unofficial, ongoing theme here, but after a cold winter, all these pastels are definitely necessary.

Yesterday my friend Melina came over to get her nails ready for Easter/Passover parties, and we had a lot of fun both hanging out and creating a pretty, simple floral design.

Don't they look great on her? I hope that staring at them doesn't actually cause you any bicycle accidents, Melina!

The base colours are H&M Nail Polish Deep Sea (blue), Julep Charlotte (purple), OPI Mermaid's Tears (green), Love & Beauty Pink, and H&M Nail Polish Summer Sunrise (yellow). The yellow and pink needed three coats each, all other colours were two.

The flowers were created with two dotting tools (of course...) of different sizes, with OPI Alpine Snow in five connecting dots, then the yellow or the green in the middle. Then we let it dry for a bit before top coating, to avoid the risk of smudging all the lovely flowers and colours.

Easily done, and lovely to look at.
