I hope the picture is big enough to show the detail. This is an old one (you can tell by my baby-sized nails), but it was my first water-marbling effort and I am quite proud of the results.

I used a Butter London teal, Artful Dodger, which I used as a base first, and marbled it with my standby "black," Orly Le Chateau (in spite of the fact that it is technically green, I can never tell once it is on the nail, and the formula is fabulous and extremely easy to work with).

The Butter London polish, though... I know people are always going on about their awesome formula, but this is the only one I've bought thus far because it was awful. It's both goopy and runny, if that's even possible; it won't go in the right place, but it remains streaky. And takes forever to dry! I love their colours, but for the price, and after the disaster that was this one? I'll try another someday. When I get over this trauma... *tear*... (lol).

  1. My goodness, that is a stunning water marble!

    1. Thank you so much! It was my first go, but it was just so time consuming I've only done it once since... it was definitely one of those that I hated to take off after a couple days!
